प्रधानमंत्री मनमोहन सिंह ने हिमाचल प्रदेश से अनुरोध किया कि 2020 तक अन्हेम्परद विकास के लिए विशेष औद्योगिक राज्य को दिया पैकेज को बढ़ाने के लिए।
तथापि, विशेष पैकेज हिमाचल प्रदेश, जम्मू और कश्मीर और उत्तरांचल में 10 साल के लिए 2003 में राजग सरकार द्वारा प्रदान किया गया था।
हालांकि, यूपीए सरकार ने पंजाब और हरियाणा पड़ोसी राज्यों के विरोध के बाद पहली सफलता 2007 तक यह कटौती की थी और बाद में इसे 31 मार्च 2010 तक बढ़ाया था।
English Translation:
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was requested by Himachal Pradesh to extend till 2020 the special industrial package given to the State for its unhampered growth.
However, the special package was provided for 10 years to Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand by the NDA government in 2003.
Although, the succeeding UPA Government following protests from neighbouring states of Punjab and Haryana had first curtailed it to 2007 and later extended it till March 31, 2010
