Govt Increases Sugar Export Quota : सरकार ने चीनी निर्यात कोटा बढ़ाया : 3rd August

सरकार ने चीनी निर्यात कोटा में ओपन जनरल लाइसेंस (ओजीएल) के तहत , गन्ने की उम्मीद से बेहतर उत्पादन करने के लिए वृद्धि हुई | सरकार ने ओजीएल के तहत , 5 लाख टन कच्चे , सफेद / परिष्कृत चीनी के निर्यात करने की अनुमति दी है | 5 लाख टन के अलावा , मार्च और अप्रैल से पहले की अनुमति दी है | 2 अगस्त को खाद्य और सार्वजनिक वितरण और उपभोक्ता मामले के राज्य मंत्री केवी थॉमस ने  कहा कि उम्मीद से बेहतर गन्ना उत्पादन से उत्साहित है| ओजीएल के तहत भारत मे चीनी का निर्यात कोटा दोगुना हो गया है|

राज्य के कृषि और खाद्य प्रसंस्करण उद्योग के लिए मंत्री हरीश रावत ने कहा कि वर्तमान समय 2010-11 में कुल उत्पादन 242 लाख टन तक पहुंचने का अनुमान किया गया है | चीनी के लिए घरेलू मांग 210-215 लाख टन के आसपास होने की उम्मीद है , इसके परिणाम स्वरूप देश को निर्यात के रूप में अतिरिक्त 30 लाख टन  चीनी की जरुरत है |

English Translate:

The government has increased the sugar export quota under the Open General License (OGL) due to better than expected production of sugarcane. The government has permitted export of 5 lakh tonnes of raw, white/refined sugar under OGL, in addition to 5 lakh tonnes allowed earlier in March and April.Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution K.V. Thomas on August 2, said buoyed by the better-than-expected sugarcane production .India has doubled its sugar export quota under OGL .

Harish Rawat, Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Processing Industries, said total production in the current 2010-11 season was estimated to reach 242 lakh tonnes.  The domestic demand for sugar is expected to be around 210-215 lakh tonnes, as a result country have additional 30 lakh tonnes for exports.
