तमिलनाडु के रामनाथपुरम जिले में फ़ैल रहे बीमारी के कारण अन्य प्रमुख फसल भी एफिड्स बीमारी से प्रभावित हो रहे है। शरी जे राजेन्द्रन के अनुसार सहायक निदेशक, बागवानी, और श्री काम्लुदीन सहायक के निदेशक, कृषि, थिरुपुल्लानी ब्लॉक में इस रोग की जलवायु में परिवर्तन करने के लिए है और वर्तमान में आर्द्रता उच्च स्तर के कारण है। किसानों को बड़े पैमाने पर समन्वित कीट प्रबंधन की सलाह दी गई है। इस फसल में 26856 हेक्टेयर में 22000 हैक्टेयर के सामान्य कवरेज के विरुद्ध सूत्रों को उठाया गया है।

English Translation:

The second major crop in Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu, Chilli, has been affected due to the spread of the disease 'aphids'. According to Mr J. Rajendran, Assistant Director, Horticulture, and Mr Kamaludeen, Assistant Director, Agriculture, Thirupullani Block, the disease is caused due to the change in the climate and existing high level of humidity. The farmers have been advised mass integrated pest management. The crop has been raised in 26,856 hectares, against a normal coverage of 22,000 hectares, according to sources.
