बाटा इंडिया लिमिटेड ने श्री वी नारायणन को कंपनी के रूप में एक निदेशक के पद से 26 मई 2009 से सेवानिवृत्त हुए और उन्होंने 76 वर्ष की वार्षिक साधारण बैठक में तिथि पर आयोजित की गई कंपनी की बैठक के समापन से एक निर्देशक बनने के कार्य को बंद किया गया, बताया गया है की वह अपने फिर से चुनाव के लिए खड़े नहीं किया जायेंगे क्योकि वह नही चाहते है की फिर से असफल हो।

श्री नारायणन की सेवानिवृत्ति पद के साथ, वह भी अध्यक्ष के लेखा परीक्षा समिति को इसी तारीख प्रभावित करने के लिए बंद किया।

बोर्ड निदेशकों के लेखा परीक्षा समिति की सिफारिश पर अध्यक्ष के प्रभावित लेखा परीक्षा समिति के रूप में 26 मई, 2009 को श्री उदय खन्ना की नियुक्ति हुई है।

English Translation:

Bata India Ltd has informed that Mr. V Narayanan retired as a Director of the Company with effect from May 26, 2009 and he ceased to be a director from the conclusion of the 76th Annual General Meeting of the Company which was held on that date, because he did not stand for his re-election.

With the retirement of Mr. Narayanan, he also ceased to be the Chairman of the Audit Committee with effect from the same date.

The Board of Directors on the recommendation of the Audit Committee have appointed Mr. Uday Khanna as the Chairman of the Audit Committee with effect from May 26, 2009.
