South Indian Bank (SIB) has signed an agreement with Life Insurance Corporation of India for the distribution of life insurance products. Under the agreement, LIC will offer its life insurance products to the customers of South Indian Bank.SIB bank has set a target to achieve Rs 100 crore through the products distribution.
Moreover, the bank has plans to collect the first premium collections through the bank branches and also to offer the other services of LIC shortly. All the bank''s branches, which has achieved 100 per cent core banking, would be used to sell life insurance products. Along with this, the bank is also in the process of opening another 45 branches very soon for a nation-wide presence.
