The markets continued its losing streak and opened lower today on the back of weak cues from the global markets. The NSE Nifty holds above the 4600 mark and the BSE Sensex remained above the 15500 mark in the early trade. The broader market indices are however trading with marginal gains in the opening trade. The Auto, IT, Realty and Pharma stocks inched higher in the opening trade, while Capital Goods and Banking stocks are trading marginally lower.
The BSE Sensex is trading up by 15.15 points or (0.10%) at 15,566.34 and the NSE Nifty is trading higher by 3.60 points or (0.08%) at 4,628.95.
The BSE Mid Cap is trading higher by 27.46 points or (0.47%) at 5,824.95 and the BSE Small Cap grew by 41.29 points or (0.60%) to 6,932.46.
The Overall market breadth is positive as 1082 stocks are advancing while 814 stocks are declining and the 50 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.
