Lakshmi Vilas Bank slashed the interest rate on 1-2 year deposits to 7% from 7.50% and on 2-3 years to 7.75% from 8% with effect from October 1 while for senior citizens, additional interest rate of 0.75% is applicable. However, the bank has retained the rates for other deposit maturities.
