The markets opened on a quite note today tracking mixed global cues. The US market closed with significant gains but the Asian markets are trading mostly lower. Though the Sensex has slipped below the 17000 mark in the early trade but suddenly managed to gain some grounds and turned back above the 17,000 mark. The NSE Nifty is now trading above the 5,050 mark after slipping below the 5050 mark in the early trade. The significant buying witnessed among the IT, Metal and Auto stocks.
At 10.28 IST, the BSE Sensex is trading marginally lower by 9.38 points or (0.06%) at 17,023.13. and the NSE Nifty is trading lower by 1.35 points or (0.03%) at 5,056.70. The BSE Mid Cap is trading higher by 30.93 points or (0.48%) at 6,522.73 and the BSE Small Cap is trading higher by 35.24 points or (0.44%) to 7,532.73.
