English Translation:

The National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) looks to boost its presence in non-agri commodity market like crude oil. This it will do by providing hedging platform to oil marketing majors. Vijay Kumar, chief business officer, NCDEX said that they are talking to participants, large ones, who use Nymex or Singapore OTC market. They are asking these participants such as Indian Oil and Bharat Petroleum to source some of their crude domestically from them. Meanwhile, apart from this, NCDEX would stress upon metals such as steel and gold in order to diversify its basket of commodities. He said that there was no link between commodity futures and the double-digit food inflation. It is observed that even a ban could not contain prices.
