English Translation:
In order to ensure more dynamic route connectivity for the North-Eastern (NE) states with the Asean countries, Mr. Anand Sharma, Union Commerce and Industry Minister of India said that the government is working on developing a Trans-Asia Highway. Mr. Sharma said the government is dedicated to ensure better connectivity for the NE states with the Asean countries to bring about a dynamic change in the development of the region. He said the route connectivity is the main source of development of the region and with this view the government is keen to develop the Trans-Asia Highway and also look at new and better routes connecting the region with Southeast Asia.
