Ban On Trading Of Sugar : चीनी के व्यापार पर प्रतिबंध : 20th August

कृषि मंत्री शरद पवार ने संकेत दिया है कि केंद्र को चीनी के वायदा कारोबार पर से प्रतिबंध अगले महीने आराम चर्चा करने जा रहा है। प्रतिबंध है, जो मई 2009 में रखा गया था करने के लिए वस्तु में हेराफेरी मूल्य से बचने के लिए इस महीने के अंत तक मान्य है। एक साल पुराने प्रतिबंध को हटाने के फैसले पर सितंबर में उत्पादन के स्तर पर विचार के बाद लिया जाएगा, मंत्री जोड़ा। सितंबर-अक्तूबर चीनी मौसम के रूप में देश में माना जाता है। चीनी की कीमतों मे 2010 की शुरुआत के बाद तेजी से सुधार देखा गया है। स्वीटनर कीमत जनवरी 2010 में किलोग्राम स्तर जो अब सही किया गया है प्रति 50 रुपए के आसपास मँडरा रहा था 30 रुपये के एक किलोग्राम के आसपास। मांग और आपूर्ति की गतिशीलता में बदलाव एक चीनी की कीमतों में तेज गिरावट के लिए प्रमुख कारणों में से एक है। भारत का चीनी उत्पादन 23 लाख टन की मांग के खिलाफ 25.5 लाख टन अगले सीजन में पर खड़े होने की संभावना है।

English Translation:
Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar has indicated that the Centre is going to discuss relaxing the ban on trading of sugar futures early next month. The ban, which was placed in May 2009 to avoid price rigging in commodity, is valid till end of this month. The decision on lifting over-a-year old ban will be taken after considering production level in September, the minister added. October to September is considered as sugar season in the country. Sugar prices have witnessed sharp correction since the beginning of 2010. In January 2010 the sweetener’s price was hovering around Rs 50 per kg level which has now corrected to around Rs 30 a kg. Change in the demand-supply dynamics is one of the major reasons for sharp drop in sugar prices. India’s sugar production is likely to stand at around 25.5 million tonnes in the next season against the demand of around 23 million tonnes.
