Earlier, the company in order to cater to the fast growing demand of Steel Wheel Rims in export and domestic market has planned to increase the capacity of its Chennai Plant by 4 millions Wheels by March 2011. This expansion is chalked out at a total cost of Rs 60.00 crore. Steel Strips Wheels is engaged in manufacturing of single piece steel wheel rims in the range of 10 to 30 inches diameter for scooters, passenger cars, utility vehicles and tractors.
