NTPC Signs MoU With Ministry Of Railways : एनटीपीसी ने रेल मंत्रालय के साथ समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किये: 2nd November

English Translation:

State-owned, National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has executed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ministry of Railways. The execution was done on October 31, 2010. As per the MoU, the company will be setting up a 1,320 MW (2x660 MW) Coal Based Thermal Power Project at Adra in West Bengal through a joint venture (JV) company. Meanwhile, 100% power generated from the project shall be supplied to the Railways subject to approval by Government of India (GoI) through a power purchase agreement to be executed between the Railways and the JV company.
