Volume remained low as traders preferred to wait and watch till the prices stabilise after the ongoing corrective phase. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety closed at Rs 237.50 compared to its previous closing of Rs 240, while the RSS-5 variety closed at Rs 234 compared to its previous closing of Rs 236. In the futures market, the contract of RSS-4 for May delivery declined to Rs 236.79 compared to its previous closing of Rs 242.68, while the contract for June delivery closed at Rs 240.80 compared to its previous closing of Rs 247.04 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange.
