Though, traders were reluctant to take long position before the long weekend falling along with Easter holidays, but fresh buying and short-covering at lower levels helped the prices. Spot price for RSS-4 variety closed at Rs 240/kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 235.50/kg, while the RSS-5 variety closed at Rs 236/kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 233/kg. In the futures market, the contract for May delivery of RSS-4 closed at Rs 244.99 compared to its previous closing of Rs 237.23, while the contract for June delivery closed at Rs 249 compared to its previous closing of Rs 241.43 on the National Multi-Commodity Exchange.
