Alok Industries, a leading textile firm expects to earn around Rs 1,300-1,400 crore from the sale of its commercial properties in Mumbai this financial year FY12. The properties are held by the firm's wholly-owned subsidiaries. The company is also receiving good enquiries for leasing the property and once they lease out about 50 percent of the property then there are couple of real estate funds who want to buy the property on outright basis. Recently, Alok Industries was planning to invest up to Rs 2,000 crore in the next four years to expand its production capacity to cater the growing international and domestic demand. The company would be investing nearly Rs 450 crore each fiscal year till 2014-15 for capacity expansion where most of its investment will go into augmenting the company’s polyester capacity. Alok Industries is engaged in the business of yarn, weaving, knitting, processing, home textiles, apparel fabrics, garments and readymade garments.
