पिपावाव शिपयार्ड के रक्षा मंत्रालय के साथ डिजाइन और भारतीय नौसेना के लिए नौसेना नोप्व्स/ गुन्बोअट्स के पांच नंबर के निर्माण के लिए अनुबंध पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं. परियोजना की कुल लागत 2,975 करोड़ रुपए है और कंपनी ने 27 मई 2011 को अनुबंध पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं.
इस अनुबंध पर हस्ताक्षर करने के साथ, कंपनी युद्धपोत निर्माण में प्रवेश किया है और यह देश में पहली बार है कि एक निजी क्षेत्र की कंपनी भारतीय नौसेना के साथ युद्धपोत के निर्माण के लिए अनुबंध में प्रवेश किया है. इसकी अन्य गतिविधियों के अलावा, कंपनी भी एक एकीकृत रक्षा कंपनी के रूप में उभरने की स्थिति में है.
कंपनी को वेट बेसिन को 2nd शुष्क डॉक में परिवर्तित करने और अपनी क्षमताओं को बढ़ाने के लिए निर्माण / भारतीय नौसेना और निर्यात बाजार के लिए युद्धपोतों मरम्मत अनुमोदन प्राप्त हुआ है. इस के लिए, कंपनी एक उचित समय पर आवश्यक दीर्घकालिक कर्ज उठाएंगी .कंपनी के बोर्ड को 28 मई 2011 को आयोजित बैठक में एक अनुमोदन प्राप्त हुआ है.
English Translation :
Pipavav Shipyard has signed the contract with the Ministry of Defence for design and construction of five numbers of Naval gunboats / NOPVs for the Indian Navy. The total cost of the project is Rs 2,975 crore and the company has signed the contract on May 27, 2011.
With signing of this contract, the Company has entered into warship building and it is for the first time in the country that a private sector Company has entered into contract for warship building with Indian Navy. In addition to its other activities, the company is also poised to emerge as an integrated defence Company.
The company has also received an approval to convert the wet basin into the 2nd dry dock to enhance its capabilities to build/ repair warships for Indian Navy and export market. For this, the company would raise necessary long term debt at an appropriate time. The company has received an approval at its board meeting held on May 28, 2011.
