IIP Growth Disappointing : आईआईपी में वृद्धि निराशाजनक : 13-10-11

औद्योगिक उत्पादन में मंदी ने सरकार की चिंताओं को बढाया है। वित्त मंत्री प्रणव मुखर्जी ने स्वीकार किया है कि आईआईपी मे मंदी ने दूसरी तिमाही में सकल घरेलू उत्पाद (जीडीपी) के विकास को प्रभावित कर सकता है। मुखर्जी ने कहा, यह भारत की जुलाई - सितम्बर के सकल घरेलू उत्पाद तिमाही का प्रभाव हो सकता है। 'यह (आईआईपी) उत्साहजनक नहीं है। यह थोड़ा निराशाजनक है और यह दूसरी तिमाही के सकल घरेलू उत्पाद को प्रभावित कर सकता है।' वित्त मंत्री ने, तथापि, 2011-12 की दूसरी तिमाही में सकल घरेलू उत्पाद की विकास के आईआईपी संख्या पर टिप्पणी नहीं की। उन्होंने कहा, 'किस हद तक यह (आईआईपी में मंदी) प्रभावित करेगा, इसपर कोई भी आकलन करना जल्दबाजी होगी।' 2011-12 की पहली तिमाही के लिए, देश के सकल घरेलू उत्पाद की विकास दर 7.7% पर 2010-11 की इसी अवधि में 8.8% की तुलना में छह तिमाही से नीचे गिर गया।

English Translation :

The slowdown in the industrial production has raised concerns of the government. Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee accepted that the IIP slowdown may affect the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth in the second quarter. Mukherjee said, it may impact India's July-September quarter GDP. 'It (IIP) is not encouraging. It is a bit disappointing and it may affect the GDP of second quarter.’ Finance minister, however, did not comment on the extent to which the subdued IIP numbers will impact on the GDP growth in the second quarter of 2011-12. He said, 'to what extent it (slowdown in IIP) would affect, it would be premature to make any assessment.' For the first quarter of 2011-12, country’s GDP growth fell to six quarter low at 7.7% compared to 8.8% in the same period of 2010-11.
