English Translation:
Physical rubber prices remained unchanged on Tuesday, though the start was good but the spot prices lost direction along with the decline in the futures market. Meanwhile, total consumption in China, India and Malaysia is expected to rise 2.7 per cent in the third quarter against 1 per cent and 4.2 per cent fall registered in the first and second quarter, respectively.
Spot prices for RSS-4 and RSS-5 variety remained unchanged at Rs 214/kg and Rs 211/kg respectively.
In the futures market the contract of RSS-4 for October delivery weakened to Rs 215.45 compared to its previous closing of Rs 216.47, while the contract for November delivery closed at Rs 211.95 compared to its previous closing of Rs 213.40 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange.
