Allahabad Bank Suspends Lending To Power Sector : इलाहाबाद बैंक ने बिजली क्षेत्र को उधार देना निलंबित किया : 09-11-11

इलाहाबाद बैंक ने राज्य वितरकों और नए बिजली संयंत्रों की बाधाओं के द्वारा किए गए नुकसान के कारण बिजली क्षेत्र के लिए उधार निलंबित कर दिया गया है। बैंक तमिलनाडु विद्युत बोर्ड और राजस्थान बिजली बोर्ड को जारी ऋण का तत्वों को बदलकर और देय ब्याज में आने वाले डिफ़ॉल्ट और फ़ायरवॉल बैंकों से बढ़ते फिजूल ऋण को रोक कर नवीनीकरण करेगा।

इससे पहले इलाहाबाद बैंक ने 13,600 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक उपयोगिताओं और वितरकों के लिए उधार दिया है लेकिन, अब उस क्षेत्र के लिए उधार बंद कर रहा है। पिछले छह महीने में बैंक ने बिजली क्षेत्र के लिए एक ताजा ऋण को भी मंजूरी नहीं दी है।

English Translation:

State run Allahabad Bank has suspended lending to the power sector due to losses incurred by state distributors and hurdles to new power plants. The bank will be restructuring loans issued to Tamil Nadu Electricity Board and Rajasthan Electricity Board by changing the tenor and interest payable to avoid an imminent default and firewall banks from rising bad loans.

Earlier Allahabad Bank has lent more than Rs 13,600 crore to utilities and distributors however, has now freeze lending to that sector. In the last six month the bank has not sanctioned a single fresh loan to the power sector.
