IDEA Cellular has expanded its 3G services in Kerala, with the launch in Idukki district, including the towns in high ranges. The towns include Adimali, Munnar, Kattapana, Thekkady, Mayiladumpara, Anakara, Cheruthony, Kumily, Thadiyampadu and Nedumkandam. The company continues to be the No.1 3G service provider in Kerala with over 73 lakh subscribers including 13 lakh 3G subscribers and 1,700 3G cell sites. It has now strengthened its leadership position both in terms of revenue and customer market share. Idea is the highest penetrated mobile network in the circle, reaching out to over 97 per cent of the population.
