Physical rubber prices remained unchanged on Monday, the weakness in the futures markets weighed on the prices. However, the improved demand and supply concern restricted a fall in the commodity, while the gains in the international futures markets too supported in the late trade. Spot prices for RSS-4 and RSS-5 variety closed at Rs 191/kg and Rs 188/kg respectively. In futures market, the contract of RSS-4 for March delivery weakened to Rs 188.89 compared to its previous closing of Rs 191.10, while the contract for April delivery closed at Rs 195.10 compared to its previous closing of Rs 197.37 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange.
