English Translation:

The rupee gained against the dollar on Thursday by around 34 paise. The rupee opened with a positive gap at 49.36 and later weakened to touch a low of 49.52 during the trade. It touched an intra-day high of 49.23, before closing at 49.27 as against the previous close of 49.61. The rupee got the support from the fall of dollar against other currencies in the overseas markets, said the dealer. In the forward premia market, the six-month premium closed marginally up at 2.75 per cent (2.73 per cent) while the one-year closed at 2.24 per cent (2.22 per cent).
