The markets opened in positive today after a sharp fall in the previous session. The traders are taking positions at lower levels today. However the markets suddenly turned volatile and slipped off from the early highs as selling pressure emerged at higher level. The Metal, Oil & Gas and Realty stocks are under pressure in the early trade. However, significant buying among the FMCG and Auto stocks provide some support to the markets. The broader market indices have given up their gains and are now trading in the negative territory. The BSE Mid Cap is now trading with a loss of more than 0.5% and the Small Cap index with a loss of more than 1%.
The BSE Sensex is now trading around the 14100 mark and the NSE Nifty around the unchanged mark.
The BSE Sensex is trading up by 64.38 points at 14,107.78 and the NSE Nifty is trading higher by 15.10 points or (0.36%) at 4,180.80.
The BSE Mid Cap decreased by 33.83 points or (0.69%) to 4,885.05 and the BSE Small Cap fell by 70.60 points or (1.27%) to 5,492.27.
The Overall market breadth is negative as 667 stocks are advancing while 804 stocks are declining and the 44 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.
