After getting the approval from the coal ministry, Coal India has begun discussions with the disinvestment department of the finance ministry to divest up to 10% of government stake in the company. Additionally, Coal India has got approval from the coal ministry to decrease the face value of its shares to Rs 10 from existing Rs 1,000.
