The markets opened on a strong note today on the back of firm cues from the global markets. The NSE Nifty moved above the 4850 mark and the BSE Sensex jumped above the 16400 mark in the early trade. The broader market indices are also attracting significant buying attention in the opening trade with both the BSE Mid Cap and the BSE Small Cap indices are now trading with a gain of more than 1% each. All the sectorial indices are now trading in green in the early trade with the Banking, Metal, Consumer Durables and Realty stocks are fronting the rally.
The BSE Sensex is trading higher by 230.87 points or (1.42%) at 16,413.92 and the NSE Nifty is trading higher by 66.30 points or (1.38%) at 4,880.55.
The BSE Mid Cap is trading higher by 81.97 points or (1.38%) at 6,021.78 and the BSE Small Cap grew by 113.56 points or (1.58%) to 7,296.94.
The Overall market breadth is positive as 1463 stocks are advancing while 416 stocks are declining and the 46 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.
