Against an inflow of Rs 112.70 crore on 23 September 2009, mutual funds (MFs) sold shares worth a net Rs 791.90 crore on 24 September 2009 where MFs'' net sales of Rs 791.90 crore on 24 September 2009 was a result of gross purchases Rs 920.90 crore and gross sales Rs 1712.80 crore and the BSE Sensex rose 61.93 points or 0.37% to 16781.43 on that day. However, MFs sold shares worth a net Rs 2,128.60 crore in September 2009 where it had bought shares worth a net Rs 570.30 crore in August 2009.
