Turmeric future rebounded in trade due to bargain buying as the traders initiated fresh demand on the lower levels. Low arrivals and lower stock levels further supported the prices of the commodity to some extent. Moreover any sort of weather disturbance in the Southern states could affect the arrivals of turmeric, thereby contributing to the up move of the commodity. The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 9404.00, up by 0.71 % or Rs 66 from its previous closing of Rs 9338. The open interest of the contract stood at 7460 lots. The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 9360, up by 0.62 % or Rs 58 from its previous closing of Rs 9302. The open interest of the contract stood at 3575 lots on NCDEX.
