Chana futures have extended gains on the back of firm demand from the domestic markets amid weak arrivals from the fresh crop. Thin supply of the commodity for the last couple of days in the local mandis has been supporting the prices.
The contract for September delivery was trading at Rs 3430.00, up by 0.35% or Rs 12.00 from its previous closing of Rs 3418.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 91970 lots.
The contract for October delivery was trading at Rs 3493.00, up by 0.60% or Rs 21.00 from its previous closing of Rs 3472.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 326660 lots on NCDEX.
