Jeera futures have been trading lower owing to overall weak demand for the commodity. Further, the trend of the commodity is also weak as dealers waiting for further dips in the prices of the commodity are opting to stay on the sidelines. However, export demand from US and EU could also rise at these lower levels in coming weeks and that could have a moderate bullish impact on the prices.
The contract for October delivery was trading at Rs 15,050.00, down by 0.22% or Rs 33.00 from its previous closing of Rs 15,083.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 15,774 lots.
The contract for November delivery was trading at Rs 15,456.00, down by 0.34% or Rs 53.00 from its previous closing of Rs 15,509.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 15,393 lots on NCDEX.
