Pepper futures are trading lower on Monday in tandem with fall in other agri commodities, though the strong fundamentals were trying to keep the momentum up. Traders expect that with low stocks, lower global production and rising export demand there will be some recovery in the commodity prices in short term.

The contract for October delivery was trading at Rs 35,935.00, down by 0.79% or Rs 285.00 from its previous closing of Rs 36,220.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 9296 lots.

The contract for November delivery was trading at Rs 36,435.00, down by 1.11% or Rs 410.00 from its previous closing of Rs 36,845.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 2145 lots on NCDEX.
