ग्वार बीज वायदा कुछ सत्रों के लिए काफी सुस्त दिखने के बाद अंत मेंऊपर उठते हुए बुधवार को निचले स्तर पर हलकी मुनाफाबसूली की। दांव लगाने वालों ने भी बढ़ती निर्यात की मांग पर सुयोंजित रूप सेबुवाई क्षेत्र की रिपोर्ट में गिरावट के साथ अपनी स्थिति को जोड़ा। राजस्थान में पहली विकसित अनुमानित खरीफ फसल के अनुसार, बुवाई क्षेत्र में पिछले वर्ष में 30 लाख हेक्टेयर की तुलना में चालू वित्त वर्ष के लिए 29.07 लाख हेक्टेयर (हा) पर होने की उम्मीद है। इस बीच, उत्पादन 11.37 लाख टन की तुलना में 2010-11 में 15.46 लाख टन (कृषि निदेशालय, राजस्थान) होने की उम्मीद है। इसके अलावा, व्यापारियों का अनुमान है कि हरियाणा में पिछले साल बुवाई क्षेत्र भी 2,15 लाख हेक्टेयर बनाम 2,56 लाख हेक्टेयर गिर गया है।

Guar Seed futures after witnessing lull for quite few sessions have finally edged up on Wednesday on the back of short covering at lower levels. Speculators also added to their position on signs of rising export demand coupled with the reports of falling sowing area. As per First Advanced Estimates of Kharif Crop in Rajasthan, the sowing area is expected to be at 29.07 lakh hectares (ha) for the current fiscal compared to 30 lakh ha in last year. Meanwhile, production is expected at 11.37 lakh tonnes against 15.46 lakh tonnes in 2010-11(Directorate of Agriculture, Rajasthan). Further, traders estimate that the sowing area in Haryana too has fallen to 2.15 lakh hectare vs 2.56 lakh hectare last year.
