Auto major Tata Motors’ October sales have witnessed an increase of 5% at 68,009 units over October 2010. However, domestic sales of the company for reporting month stood at 63,838 units, down 9% over 58,806 units in the year ago period.

Commercial vehicles’ segment registered a growth of 13% during the month of October 2011 in the domestic market at 38,714 vehicles against 34,328 vehicles sold in October last year. On the other hand, the passenger vehicles’ segment witnessed about 3% fall in the domestic sales in the last month at 25,746 (25,124 Tata + 622 Fiat) units compared to 226,503 (24,478 Tata + 2025 Fiat) units in the same month of 2010.
