The markets today opened sharply higher on the back of positive cues from the global markets. But suddenly the market turned volatile and shed most of its opening gains as profit booking emerged at higher level. The significant buying interest is seen among the Auto, FMCG, IT, Pharma and Capital Goods stocks. However, the Power, Banking, Realty and Oil & Gas stocks are witnessing some selling pressure in the early trade.

The BSE Sensex is now trading around the 14,850 mark and the NSE Nifty around the 4,500 mark.

The BSE Sensex is trading up by 19.26 points or (0.13%) at 14,859.89 and the NSE Nifty is trading lower by 8.95 points or (0.20%) at 4,520.95.

The BSE Mid Cap decreased by 1.06 points or (0.02%) to 5,203.15 while the BSE Small Cap grew by 19.43 points or (0.31%) to 6,216.21.

The Overall market breadth is positive as 1537 stocks are advancing while 460 stocks are declining and the 46 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.

The markets today opened weak tracking weak cues from the global markets. The Asian markets are also trading lower. The Metal, Capital Goods, Consumer Durables and Auto stocks are under pressure in the early trade. However the IT, Banking, FMCG and Oil & Gas stocks are witnessing some buying interest. The broader indices are however trading lower in the opening trade.

The BSE Sensex is now trading above the 11,700 mark and the NSE Nifty above the 3,550 mark in the early trade.

The BSE Sensex was up by 31.23 points at 11,714.22 and the Nifty was up by 4.25 points to 3,558.85.

The BSE Mid Cap decreased by 25.13 points to 3,686.29 and the BSE Small Cap fell by 22.99 points to 4,162.33.

The overall market breadth is negative as 631 stocks are advancing while 711 stocks are declining on BSE.
